Tracking with Mocha and After Effects
Professional planar tracking with Mocha: screen replacements, signs and plate cleanup.
Hands-on planar tracking workshop with Mocha inside After Effects: surface tracking, screen and sign replacement, and cleaning up difficult shots. With Jorge Mochón, Adobe Certified Instructor. And you take it in your language: native audio in Spanish, English and Portuguese, with subtitles in all three.
By the end of the course you'll know how to
- Recognise which shots call for planar tracking and which are solved another way, before losing an afternoon down the wrong path.
- Get a stable track out of a difficult surface, and know what to do when the analysis breaks halfway through the shot.
- Replace a screen or a sign without it showing: integration, fine tuning and blur that matches the movement.
- Clean up a shot with cloning and precomposition so the fix does not give itself away when the camera moves.
- Generate interpolated masks of a moving actor and apply them without going frame by frame.
Highly recommended. It's an intermediate-to-advanced course and it's all really good.
